This has always bugged me… is memory loss part of ceremorphosis or not? Usually companions say no, but then Gale’s “magical lecture” mentions it as day 1 symptoms… did he find a book in the day between these conversations?

I just finished my first run after some 100-ish hours and I just realized how happy I am for a lot of stuff NOT being in the game. This includes, among other things

• Ranged weapons requiring ammo

• Weapons and gear breaking or requiring maintenance

• A complicated crafting system

• Excesively limiting when and where you can save the game

• Hunger

• Fetch quests

• Time limits on quests

• Every chest potentially being a jumpscare mimic chest

• Mundane tasks like fishing or cooking

• Realistic carrying weight

• Stamina systems out of combat

• Grinding XP

• Restrictions on respeccing

Lots of easy ways to artificially make the game longer, so I just wanted to give a big thanks to the developers for not doing so! Really feels like they designed a great game, then stripped it down to just the gameplay elements which are actually fun to do over and over again.

Edit-seems like many people do in fact like fishing :)

Goes from being a monogamous bisexual in act 1 to what seems like a polyamorous, mostly heterosexual woman in act 3? Here's some things I've noticed:

1. Earlier in the game in a banter, she turns down Astarion's request for a date because she's dating the player.

2. In another banter, she tells Lae'zel to make sure to keep a "respectable distance" between them when dating the player.

3. She tells the player she's not interested in someone else's "leftovers" at the Goblin party.

4. When the player asks for a poly relationship in act 2, she says: "In truth, I don't think I'd want to be your spare lover. I'd always want more of you than you'd have to spare. Better perhaps to bow out with dignity."

Then in act 3:

1. She no longer flirts with any women in the party
2. She has a male ex-lover (the bald guy with tats on his face) in her cloister but zero female lovers
3. Her position on poly and being a spare lover is reversed. If you start dating Halsin and tell her: "He wants me. And I want him. I'm not sure if there's space for you and I.", she'll respond with a very flippant: "Are you sure? He's large, granted. But I can squeeze in any number of places.". She is now content with being the sidechick
4. She flirts with Halsin constantly but completely rejects Minthara's flirting, because women are icky now I guess

No offense, but it looks like Larian randomly decided late in development that they REALLY wanted Shadowheart to bang Halsin, so they remoulded her character just to suit him

I have named him The Dark Fish, and we are taking revenge on those that harm fish.

There is a little lift where you can go up and down inside the Gauntlet (NOT the main elevator!!!) On my former playthrough it worked as intended and had no issue.

On this playthrough I notice only I was moving, the rest of my companions were invisible and so the elevator would go through them.

That's what made me wonder; if this is the case on this elevator, surely it is on the big elevator? As somebody who has cleared it twice but done it a DOZEN times beforehand (I keep resetting) I never saw this infamous bug before. So out of curiousity I went to do the big boy elevator and yup! They all planted to death except my main character who also was able to go down the small elevator. I wonder if this could be treated as precautions on honour modes! So I wanted to share in case.

Also, their death looks so painful hahah.. poor Astarion, Minthara and Shadowheart

There’s a few people here who are disappointed with the small amount of mods that came to console. Ngl, I was struggling to create new characters and got tired of it lol, I never knew just new hair and eyes and a few dyes could make the game more enjoyable for me. I think it’s a win for consoles🤷🏻‍♀️
