AND he helped Elon Musk buy Twitter.
There's literally nothing good about this guy(except the music producing stuff).
Edit: For those folks arguing about music, I'm specifically talking about his producing Notorious B.I.G.'s discography. I despise P. Diddy, and hope he dies in jail, but that music is amazing.
It's okay to hold 2 contradictory thoughts in your head at once!
Ex: Woody Allen is a monster who pervs on his own step-daughter...Annie Hall is funny.
Get it?

Nah he was a shitty producer too. Ripped off beats from actual good producers and took credit for it.
Edit: I’m not using “ripped off” to refer to sampling. I love sampling when done right. I mean he literally would take beats that actual good hip-hop producers made and not credit them…And he’s a horrible rapper too.
Edit to OP’s edit: this isn’t about separating the art from the artist. I like music from lots of horrible people. I’m saying Diddy DIDNT MAKE the beats that Biggie rapped to, he just took the credit for them.

u/ilivalkyw 1d ago
Exactly. He was Gen X's DJ Khaled...but even worse. His music was embarassingly bad, even when it was new. I remember seeing the Led Zep ripoff he did on MTV when it came out, and i was actually angry about it. Diddy has always sucked.
18
u/Diazpora 1d ago
Ehhh, plenty of rappers/producers work with Khaled because he does acquire good beats, and can put rapper a on. People can hate his stupid behavior and they wouldn't be wrong but Khaled and Diddy are completely different.
And Jimmy Page performed with Diddy so it wasn't a "rip-off" per se but a cleared sample.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60ZYG3AIcwk
But I agree he has always sucked and I never understood how or why he became the "mogul" that he is or now was.

Also statute of limitations varies by State.

The first class-action sexual assault trial in American history.
1.4k
u/orionsfyre 1d ago edited 1d ago
It went from He's a wife abuser, to he's an abuser of women, to he's an abuser of women at organized parties of assault and rape, to... he's the mastermind of intentional sexual assault perpetrated by himself and his guests upon women who had been drugged, beaten and threatened afterwards if they ever spoke up. I'm not even talking about the racketeering and drug dealing, and weapons charges... or the apparent firebombing.
It's hard to really comprehend the level of insane predatory behavior that has been covered up as an open secret for decades we are talking about here. It's medieval.

By no means wanting to defend the Kardashians, but I don’t think anyone who partied with Diddy is automatically complicit.
A guy I knew through a friend used to throw brilliant parties like once a month. You could barely move for cocaine and a dude (not the host) once asked me to fuck his girlfriend, but that was as weird as it got.
We went to multiple parties a year for like five years.
Turned out that same guy also held swingers parties at the same flat where anything - including some genuinely bad shit - went down. He also turned out to be a huge racist - not a reddit “That’s racist!” racist - I mean like an actual, rabid racist.
You would honestly never have guessed. My friend didn’t even know.
A few months ago, facebook popped up with a “memory” that featured a photo of me, with my arm around this guy, at one of his parties. I had pupils like dinnerplates but honestly looked like I was having a great time with a good friend.

Probably yeah, the article mentions up to 3000 people coming to this lawyer with allegations and they’re being added to the lawsuit over time. But honestly with this much information and these many victims that have substantial proof I don’t see why 3000 isn’t a believable number. He’s a monster and clearly had tons of connections to other people just as depraved as him. I hope the survivors can find some peace somehow at least knowing that he’s finally coming to justice.

Putting aside for a moment the unfathomable amount of pain and suffering he caused, his sentencing should also take into account the amount of publicly-funded resources, time, and money it will have taken to bring him to justice and full account. That's an insane number of claims to process but, like you said, a totally believable number.

So many weird factors in a rape/SA case to make it viable to convict.
A friend used to work at the Cameron County DA's office (which covers South Padre Island, Texas).
He became friendly with one of the prosecutors who'd been there forever and we used to hang out.
When the Detroit Lions hired Matt Patricia as their head coach it came out he'd been indicted on rape charges by the Cameron County DA's office but never charged. By the dates of when it happened, we figured out my friend's coworker had already started to work at the DA's office so we asked if he was familiar with the case.
Turns out he was. He said apparently it was a really solid case with plenty of physical evidence but it had one fatal flaw. The victim was too traumatized to testify.
He told us that those kind of cases always fall apart if the victim doesn't testify as the defense makes it seem that if they aren't involved, then the jury has a hard time buying it l was as serious as the DA case implies.
Basically because after a year the girl was still terrified to face Patricia in court, the DA'S office had to drop the case as it was getting close to them violating his right to a speedy trial.
So if a trial with solid evidence requires a victim willing and able to emotionally to face the rigors of cross examination, imagine how many cases with solid evidence never make it to trial.

It's a classic Bill Cosby.
He's rich and famous, there are going to be accusations that are in grey areas or just even complete bullshit cash grabs.
But Bill racked up 56 accusations worthy of the court's time. At LEAST one is going to be a pure black and white conviction.
And that was enough to put Cosby on house arrest while we sort out the murkier charges.
Diddy? He's putting up record accusations. He can go ahead and start ticking down his actual prison time now. Not sure how much he's going to get, but it's almost certainly a lifetime supply anyway.
51
u/cire1184 1d ago
Even if he got 6 months for every 120 charges and had to serve them consecutively that's 60 years to a 54 year old pretty much a life sentence. If it's 1 year per charge then 120 years, he's never getting out.

What blows my mind is how they sit on it for decades in their own mind, knowing full well what they've done and yet still continuing to do public appearances or high profile appearances in the media. Surely a part of them is thinking "damn, I am legitimately fucked when this all comes out".
Is there a form of cognitive dissonance where they've somehow managed to convince themselves they didn't break the law? It's genuinely unfathomable how separated from reality some people are.

When you have members of police and government at your parties and you've been doing it for 2-3 decades, you probably start to think you're invincible and will never get caught.
And recurring theme with uber-wealthy is that they get deeper into hedonism and become a "freak" because having hot sex with appropriate women of their own free will, becomes mundane and average as it becomes easy and often that they seek further and further into the abusive and harm of others to get their dicks hard.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb7cIhKxIZE&ab_channel=LiveNOWfromFOX - October 1 Press Conference.
Some new information from the video in bullet points:
- The timeframe LE has is between 1991-2024;
- Many minors at the time of the offences;
- 55% of all the plaintiffs (already 120 in total) reported what happened to LE and/or went to hospitals for their injuries;
- Diddy and other defendants would spike the victim's drinks with a horse tranquiliser and while the victim was unconscious he/she would be passed around to be abused by a group of people. They would wake up confused and not remembering much of what happened - they would keep quiet or report;
- Victims faced all kinds of threats - physical injuries and overall well-being, financial ruin, etc;
- Corporations, hotel chains, record labels and other entities (and their owners and/or employees) where the abuse happened or were complacent with sit will become defendants and will face the consequences;
- People were paid 10K to keep quiet (the ones who knew "something was happening") ex. a worker in a hotel paid to ignore what was happening;
- Several minors were involved in the r*pes and abuse, as young as a 9-year-old (so far);
- Many young people wanting to start a musical career ended up being abused - they'd go for "auditions" created by P Diddy;
- Authorities tell anyone (especially celebrities/famous people) who was part of or knew about these abuses "We know who you are. At the moment you're probably deleting text messages or pictures". They will inform the public about the names of those people in the near future and will make them defendants;
- More than 3200 people contacted LE - in just 10 day - with accusations;
- Victim's advocate explains that lack of funding and/or knowledge on how to deal with sexual crimes from LE ended up with the reports going nowhere;
- There is a long backlog of r*pe kits that were never even tested (victims that reported) at the time.
And more in the link.

Sean Diddy Combs, catered to celebs, and those celebs should be scared, but no one of any significant power or position.

If you believe any celeb besides Diddy will face consequences, you have way more hope than I do. I'm guessing that MAXIMUM 2, maybe 3 people go down with him, and it will only be because they are on video doing something. Everyone else will simply be named, and their PR will hand wave it away.

If what this lawyer said is true and he has video offing Diddy wont protect (all of) them. This won’t die with his death, his estate will be dealing with this for years. Diddy talking is no longer the only threat, it’s what this guy has.

The lawyer said he has spoken to 3,000 accusers, so you may not be too far off.

Buzbee added that the allegations will include: “violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings, sexual abuse of minors.”
The lawyer further claimed one of the accusers was as young as 9 years old at the time of their alleged incident.
Someone took offense to me saying it was a giant trafficking/pedo ring the other day and I shouldn’t just be throwing the pedo term around because of the age of consent, etc.
Well, here we are. If 9 wouldn’t put someone in the pedophile group, what age would?

Exactly. If I even had a fraction of that sort of wealth, I’d just retire early somewhere nice with my fam and chill.

Not supporting what any of these rich ducks do, but they probably just get bored. After buying everything there is to buy, all the drugs done, apparently the only thing left is weird illegal sex shit

This is so crazy.
I never once thought I would live in a world where Puff Daddy and Bill Cosby would be outed as the two most prolific serial rapists in American history.

I really would love to know who was involved in all of this shit. there is no way in hell this man did all of this alone. the individuals who were involved, must be shaking in their boots as they're waiting for the day that the officials come knocking on their door

Not to exclude that he put Shyne in jail for a club shooting, possibly put a hit out on Tupac, blew up Kid Kudis car, and god knows whatever else.
Oh and the latest is a 9 year old boy was sexually assaulted.

120, and only one of them needs to be telling the truth. God forbid all 120 are legit. And I wouldn't doubt it. This man has been a menace for a long time.

There were apparently 3,000 people that came forward to the lawyer's office, the 700 were just the ones that had a feasible shot of winning a court case. And you can guarantee there's more that will never come forward due to fear, shame and other reasons...

I know, it's fox news, but watching the live stream.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tb7cIhKxIZE
They said they'll prosecute every single case to the fullest.
So many called, they could not open a case for all callers yet.
But while everyone's talking about Diddy, who's the instigator and guilty as hell, he certainly isn't the only one guilty, his staff, other stars etc, I hope the media and police will focus on that, other rapists shouldnt be flying under the radar unscathed.
Probably they will turn into informants, but once it's clear diddy gets like 5000 years total, they should offer no more deals.

I’m curious what the team around him was in charge of. Like this was a well oiled machine pumping out victims left and right. So obviously he isn’t the only person abusing people. Like was there a scout? Financial Planner? A drug doctor/dealer? Hell a fucking IT guy in case the cameras went down? It just sounds like we are missing so many pieces to this pie.
